In 2016, towards the end of my time in Boston, I began experimenting with a complete overhaul of the way I thought about writing, recording, and sculpting music. Burnt-out, exhausted, and generally lacking safety or sanity, I began setting out to record some improvisations and experiments on guitar every night. Long, dragged-out crescendos and drones that changed only slightly over time would be recorded late at night while all my previous actives were finished and all my friends, roommates and neighbors were asleep (and I should have been too).
Over time, these late night sessions began slowing down to a slow oscillating hum. Sonics shifting into a slower more docile version of the previous waves. Chord progression slowed and ground down to a fine dust of a guitar strum. All the recordings went from being a woosy lullaby to being a low comforting layer of sleep. Each performance became and attempt to accompany someone through their journey into the dark.
This is a lengthy 10 hour release loosely intended to guide you through your resting hours. This vast amount of music is surely not intended to be strictly paid attention to or over analyzed, but rather enjoyed in passing at length if you chose to do so (although if you want to look and listen to each one of them closely, be my guest). This long sprawling event serves less as a series of compositions and more as a document of the crafting of ones sound.
